This has been a really rough couple of weeks. There has been illness and hurt. All part of the process, right?
ü I’m trying to accept the things I can’t change. Thus the hurt. Friends will disappoint you. When all of your friends tell you to expect the storm it really shouldn’t come as a surprise when it rains. When in doubt, carry a super cute umbrella! Goodbye my friend. I hope you find your way back to me someday.
ü I have learned that I seem to have a problem yelling when I am not fully caffeinated. Or when I’m hungry. And sometimes when I’m tired. Oh, and stress does it too…. Alright see the next one.
ü I’m gonna start off by telling you that this is a cheat. We began a penny program in our house for the kids around the middle of December. But the reason I’m counting it now is because we’ve only been consistent with it this past few weeks. Basically it’s a reward system. The children are given pennies when they complete tasks or behave a certain way. They save the pennies and use them to buy treats, toys and one-on-one time with Mommy and Daddy. So far it’s cut down on how much I’ve been yelling. I haven’t quit…yet.
ü Most of the rest of the resolutions went completely out the window. Myriam was admitted to hospital with RSV the weekend of Week 2 and was not allowed out of the house during Week 3. Even the simple things like drinking water become hard when you kids are ill.
So the last two weeks have kinda been a bust. Well, better luck next week. I hope your resolutions are going better than mine.
