I’m pretty happy the way the first quarter of the year ended. So happy, I thought I would recap. Seriously some of the highlights of the past three months have been times spent with other adults.
ü I booked a photography session with a beautiful new family (baby Ronin will be featured in the weeks to come) and did my first pregnancy shoot. I think it went really well. Take a look. (In fact I have four more bookings in March alone!)ü Date night—Oh, yeah! Managed one in January, TWO in February and March is slated.
ü GNO—I got one in early in the month before the 18 inches of snow decided to descend on us here in the Mid-West. This is actually a first for me. I have never managed to go out with my girls in January or February before.
As far as the kids are concerned….
ü The penny program has been working pretty well with my kids.
ü The yelling thing, well… the kids are still alive so that’s saying a lot; especially considering that we’ve had 12 feet of snow dropped on us and that it’s been in the negative digits around here of late. I’m trying, I really am.
And as far as the home is concerned….
ü The holiday closet and the coat closet have been fully organized and reorganized and organized again. I think I finally have it this time. Or maybe if I did this….
ü New Recipes—I have a new Stuffed Sandwich recipe that I’m enamored with right now. Come to find out, I love eggplant! Who knew? Check out the "Yum, Yum, Yum" section if you want the how to’s.
And then there’s me….
I’ve been doing the water thing and dressing the dress and walking the walk and overall I’ve been feeling better about me. And that really was the whole point of these resolutions anyway. I can’t be a good Mommy if I’m not good to ME. Wow! I figured that out without years of therapy! Although there are days I would be willing to pay someone to listen to me. What am I saying? You know you are desperate for human conversation when you look forward to talking with telemarketers, but that's a whole other blog entry.
