I, like most photographers, have a rough time taking beautiful pictures of my own children. I think it's because we so often use them as guinea pigs for our inspiration that anytime we pull out the "big" camera they tend to run in fear or act up to get out of posing. Compound the problem with the fact that my daughter is autistic and doesn't take direction at all. But once in awhile something captivates her and this time it was a dandelion. Or rather, a whole field of them....
Well it's Monday again. It's time to take a second for yourself! So take a few deep breaths, find your inner calm--if necessary lock the kids in their closets. Enjoy!

- Hi and welcome to my blog. "Because I'm..." is the story of how I balance life with multiple children with multiple diagnoses: autism, bi-polar, learning disabilities and pissy attitudes to name a few, a burgeoning urban farmstead, and budding photography career. Yeah, it's all coming up crazy 'round here!
