I'm Sick of Being... Sick.

       I'm sick. Again. (Man this has been the crappiest year for illness!) I'm not sure where the blame lies for this one. It could be that my kids just started school and have brought home one of those bugs that gives them the sniffles but drops an adult like a ton of bricks. It could be that I decided to get a flu shot this year. It could be that the pollen count is so high that the air isn't clear but tinged with yellow. Or it could be that I cleaned 3/4 of my house from top to bottom, including steam cleaning carpets that haven't been done in 4+ years. I'm sure that tossed a ton of nastiness into the air.

       Whatever the case may be I have the usual symptoms, runny nose, sinus pain and pressure, cough and oh did I mention that for the past 4 days I haven't had a VOICE??? How does one "mommy" without a voice?
Especially to children that can't read  yet.

So it's been four days since I lost my voice and I'm starting to rally. I still don't have a voice but at least now the children can read a few simple words.
So I count it as a win.

Frankly, I wouldn't have made it through this without the Hubby*. He took the kids out for the afternoon both Saturday and Sunday and he stayed home on Monday so that I could get some much needed extra sleep.

He also learned to read some simple words this weekend.

*The Hubby really saved me this weekend. And although I joke he really came through for me.
I love you Hubby. Thank you for everything you do for this family.

**My Hubby doesn't read my blog so I know he isn't going to see this, but husbands get far too little credit in the raising of children, and I like to give credit where credit is due.
