I've been trying to find a way to introduce my children to the arts but frankly, the idea of taking them to a museum makes me break out into a cold sweat. (It also makes me a little nauseous. I may have thrown up a little in my mouth....) I also have been in need of a positive way to discipline my three
I picked up a little Sony Cybershot for $40 bucks, green tagged at Wally World a year ago. I program the settings to Auto and I let my two almost 4 year olds and my 5 year old go crazy!
That's Grandpa! |
They are allowed camera time when they are good at school.*
I get a lot of images like these....
A friend from school. |
But sometimes I get stuff like this!
Or this...
Or even this.
Frankly, you never know what your are going to get when you sync that camera up at night.
Yeah...that's me. |
These pictures are all Porter's handiwork. He's quite the photographer. I think I found my future assistant!
*Good means different things to each child. For Myriam it mean speaking in a normal tone (not whispering) and actually speaking at school. For Porter it means singing, dancing, doing art and not throwing a fit when irritated about singing, dancing and doing art. And for Logan it just means just continue being that joyful child he is.
Playing nicely with parenting BY dummies and Stacy Uncorked on this Wordful Wednesday.

Oh those look like perfect pictures! I think you have found your assistant!! I like the sock monkeys the best!
Yeah, I'm a afraid. If he's shooting this well at 3, almost 4 years old, I may end up being HIS assistant when he decides to go pro! LOL
Thanks for commenting Erin!

Oh I love it! You definitely have an aspiring photographer on your hands! :)

Sometimes I think you might be right, Stacy. And then again....
I just showed Porter that I put his pictures on my blog and he said, "Where's the picture of Doc's (our boxer) butt? That's the best one!" I don't think I have anything to worry about for awhile....

The Dudes love using my camera too! Of course they ALWAYS go for the thousand dollar model I use for my business and I have to shriek, jump couches, and nearly pull a hammy as I race across the room to pry it from their chubby, sticky fingers!
HA! Yeah my kids (and hubby) have learned, after numerous threats of a slow and painful death, that they shouldn't touch the high dollar Canon.
I think they just finally realize that I love my camera more than them. Just joking--kinda....
