Hi and welcome to my blog. I really think parents need to lighten up; I mean, if parenting was meant to be a serious endeavor they'd offer classes! Oh, wait....

Songs That Make Us Sing: I Heard it at...

Do you have songs that you remember exactly where you were when first heard them? For some reason the song I picked for this week is one of those for me. I came across the album again a couple of days ago and I've been listening to it non-stop ever since. Well Ginger from (Not) Just Another Mom of Twins and I are hosting another weekend of Songs That Make Us Sing otherwise known in my universe Songs I Can't Get Outta My Head (Ahhh!!!). Check out the rules....

  1. Give us both a follow (we're so much more than just songs...really) If you're a new follower please leave us a comment so we can check you out too! It's all about sharing the love, right?
  2. Pick A Song, any song! One that makes you wanna sing! Old-New-Country-Pop-Punk...anything goes. (Let's try to keep it family friendly if we can...LOL) If you want, tell us why the song makes you wanna SING!
  3. Add your link to the "Play List"
  4. We'd REALLY like you to copy the Linky Code (just click on "get the code") in to your post so your blogger buds can join in on the fun or link back to the both of us so they can at least "find" the party!
  5. We'd love to see the video of your song (which can easily be shared via youtube.com) but if you just wanna list your favorite song of the day, we're "cool" with that too!
  6. And don't forget to grab a button! Cause sharing is caring!
Songs That Make Us Sing

As for this song, I first heard it the Old Chicago in Lawrence, Kansas. I was having dinner with a work colleague. We had just gotten off a 14 hours shift, our eleventh without a day off. We were in the process of opening a brand new McDonald's. I remember that we both pretty much hated the world at that point in time but this song came on and I remember thinking that life couldn't be all that bad because this song had SO much good going on. I mean really? It's an all chick band, featuring Bono and the song was written by Bryan Adams! How can you go wrong?

Am I right or am I right? Huh?

Peace Out!
