Songs That Make Us Sing--I Can't Sleep

     I haven't been sleeping. I don't know why, at this point I don't even care why! I just want to get some sleep. It's been about a week since I got a complete, uninterrupted night's sleep. There's been reasons:  trying to get work done when I don't have little people hanging on me "trying to help". Little people waking me up because they had nightmares and they're scared, so they spend the remainder of the evening with their foot firmly embedded in my spleen--it's a useless organ anyway, right? And now I'm at the point that I'm SO tired that I can't seem to get to sleep. (But I seem to have no problem falling asleep in the car, while I'm parked in the valet lane, waiting to pick Myriam up from school. Thanks for honking BTW and waking me up Bitch, because those 6 inches I needed to pull up really really made all the difference in the world! I told you I'm tired. Usually I'm a little more subtle.)

     It isn't my first battle with insomnia, but it's been awhile. So I broke out an old "mix tape" that I used to listen to back in my college days. I can't tell you how many nights I fell asleep listening to Mazzy Star, Sting, Counting Crows, and this song by REM.

Here's hoping it works. Good night everyone. I'm heading to bed to stare at the ceiling.
