Hi and welcome to my blog. I really think parents need to lighten up; I mean, if parenting was meant to be a serious endeavor they'd offer classes! Oh, wait....

WW {Linky}--KC Indian Festival

We had a BUSY weekend! (It was so much fun.) After a summer spent inside because of triple digit temps it felt great to get back to our typical festival driven weekends. On the docket for this past weekend was the KC Indian Festival. We'd never been before but it's already slated for next year. We really couldn't go wrong, I mean it had beautifully costumed dancers, arts and crafts and it was right next door to our favorite train yard. The young girl to the left is a shawl dancer and she was 8 years-old.

My children and I fell in love with the "Jingle Dancers". The woman's purple costume is covered in silver bells that jingled whenever she walked or danced. "And she will make music wherever she goes...."

We were very fortunate to be in the presence of real royalty! The woman in the white is Miss Haskell 2011-2012. And if you would like to see more pictures of the festival dancers check out my photo site.

Happy Wednesday, everyone.

And now it's your turn.  I don't care if it's Wordless, Word-filled, or Word-ish.
