Wordful Wednesday--The Mattress Incident

       There are few things in life more important than a good night's sleep.  Granted I haven't had one in over 5 years, but that's what they say anyway!  Well the time has come for my baby boys to have REAL big boy beds.  They are graduating from mattresses on the floor toddler beds to twin size beds.  But beds don't just fall from the sky.  Oh, no!  They must be purchased--and that means a trip to the mattress store for me and my brood.  And that means that I'm gonna need backup!

       I called on the services of Nana and Unka Joe to help find and purchase said mattresses, and to help wrangle kids, because turning my demons brood loose in a mattress store is really akin to the proverbial bull in the china shop.  I mean temptation is everywhere....

Stacks of mattresses on the floors.  Mattresses leaning against walls.  Mattresses as far as the eye could see!

And of course Mommy wouldn't let them jump on any of them!  So they walked.  And yes there were little footprints on every, single, mattress in the store!





But product testing is important too!  Because you never know if the mattress is right for you until you lay on it.

And roll around on it. 

And maybe just the slightest flopping....

They were actually really good.  All things considered.  There was very limited jumping.  And yes Mommy made it out of the store with most of her hair intact.  In fact, we made it out of there with two mattresses and box springs and they took $150 off!  I think that maybe bringing three children into the store might have had something to do with it.
